Pisa: seeped in a cultural past

Leaning Tower of Pisa comes in the mind, just as we talk of Pisa city in Tuscany. Not many could gauge the scientific possibility of Pisa’s incline years after it was made and similarly not many can rightly assess the worth of the city itself even today. Pisa is many things to many people. Those who look for an artistic past get plenty of it and those who look for contemporary styles are not betrayed either.
Places to See – Well, of course leaning tower of Pisa is the Tour De Force of Pisa but it does not diminish the value of a few others. Giovanni di Simone’s masterpiece, the St. Francis church and also the church of San Nicola are a distinct presence. Knight’s square has a commendable facade and it pacifies one and all. Various museums showing the Sinopias, works of Masacio, Galileo and others adorn the historic beauty of the place. University of Pisa can also be visited for the purpose of finding Pisa’s intellectual footing in time. This just shows how the place has made a brilliant transition from its past to its present.
Transport – The Galileo Galilee airport at Pisa is a 10 minute drive from the bus and is the chief connect between the world and Pisa. Compagnia Pisana trasporti or the CPT has put up many bus lines which mesh through the city and connect it remarkably. L.A.M Rossa bus service joins the airport, railway station and the major bus lines. Pisa Centrale on the Tyrrenhic railway line is the chief railway station. There are two other major railway lines as well. Pisa car hire from Pronto takes you to Genoa from Livorno and vice versa.
